Oak Grove's annual Spring into Summer Festival seems to get bigger each year, and with good reason, as tens of thousands enjoy everything from carnival rides and car shows, to fireworks, zip-lining and great live music.

Word of mouth for this year's festival began immediately after the Oak Grove Tourism Commission announced that MCA Nashville recording artist, Josh Turner would headline the annual event.

“We are super excited to have Josh Turner for our 12th annual international and regional award-winning festival, Traci Cunningham, Executive Director of Oak Grove Tourism, said in a press release. “The relationship between Country Music artists, our troops, and their families has been a long-standing tradition, and we are delighted and thrilled Josh Turner will be bringing his talent and support to Oak Grove, KY.”

The festival ran for two days, 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Numerous vendor booths were set up outside the amphitheater. There was a car and motorcycle show, an extreme trampoline show, carnival rides and food.

Thousands came early to find a spot for Saturday's concert. They enjoyed an afternoon performance from Renegade Rally, featuring Branscombe Richmond and his all-star band.

All eyes then turned to the sky for an extended 10-man parachute team jump show. As the sun and the temperature went down, the overflowing crowd came to life, and seemed to enjoy every minute of Josh Turner's performance. A great evening of music was followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
