Music at Grace, a concert series at Grace Lutheran Church, recently presented a performance by Jason Coleman and Meagan Taylor, two outstanding musicians with ties to Nashville music royalty.
Coleman is the grandson of Floyd Cramer, an American hall of fame pianist and one of the architects of the Nashville sound. Taylor is the grand niece of Chet Atkins, known as “Mr Guitar,” and “The Country Gentleman”. He is credited by Rolling Stone Magazine as inventing the “pop-wise 'Nashville sound,'” and is ranked by them at #21 on a list of the greatest guitarists of all time.
The Sunday afternoon performance was free to the public and featured more than a dozen songs, many of which were holiday-themed.
“This is their third time here at Grace,” Grace Lutheran Church, Sr. Pastor Larry Peters said. “They both grew up with country music. Jason actually appeared on television with his grandfather when he was just nine years old, and Meagan is an amazing guitarist and vocalist.
