Dozens came out to Fairholme (the John Street house) in Cadiz for the 2019 Chocolate Affair, an annual event that raises money for the Janice Mason Art Museum (JMAM).

Jean Martin was JMAM's Committee Chair for this year's project, which drew dozens of supporters to the elegant home to enjoy a delightful assortment of chocolate confections and some great live music from local artist, Leight July.

“I've been involved with this fundraiser for 14 of the last 16 years,” Martin said. “In spite of us competing against several other events at our fundraiser we had a great turnout. This is always one of our most fun events. Everyone who comes absolutely loves it. But, every year I talk to people who don't know about the event.”

Martin says the event is always held on the first Saturday of February, and all of the treats are made by volunteers, including many by JMAM's board members.

“We have a wonderful museum, but I'm sure we have people living in Trigg County who have never visited our museum,” Martin said. “I wish everyone would visit and discover JMAM.”
