Thousands came out to Fort Campbell's Division Parade Field on a warm Saturday night for some cool country music from country star Jake Owen, who performed a free concert at this year's Week of the Eagles.
Fort Campbell invited the community to join in the festivities. The party got started around 5 p.m. with inflatables and other activities in the Kids' Zone.
Guests enjoyed some great offerings from a variety of food trucks, and there were plenty of cold beverages available as well. There was also a VIP area set up near the stage.
The live music kicked off at 6 p.m. when Terra Bella and Eric Paslay took the stage to warm up the audience for headliner Jake Owen.
This year, Week of the Eagles ran concurrently with Military Survivor Appreciation Week. Retiree Appreciation Day was also part of the celebration. Throughout the week there were Unit Sports Competitions Combatives tournaments, the Run for the Fallen, static displays, an Air Assault / Fast Rope Insertion / Special Purpose Extraction System demonstration, and much more.
