Clarksville Climbing hosted Clarksville's most unique New Year's Eve event, a glow party.
Sam Montague and his family took a big step in 2018, opening Clarksville Climbing, an indoor climbing facility that offers challenges for climbers of all skill levels.
“Right now, we are bouldering only,” Montague said. “Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that is performed on small rock formations, or rock walls known as boulders, without the use of ropes or harnesses. But, we are looking at other types of climbing instruction as well.”
Clarksville Climbing offers climbing and learning opportunities for anyone, ranging from age four all the way up to a professional climber.
“We currently offer a Bouldering Basics class,” Montague said. “We are also about to start Fitness for Climbing, which is basically a course on how to become more fit, and physically able to rock climb. But, that's more of a course than a single class.
“It's going to focus on specific exercises that will help balance the body and get you ready for some serious climbing.”
