The Christian County Chamber of Commerce just hosted its ever-popular Brag 'N Rights Golf Classic at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club.

“This is the first day of our annual Brag 'N Rights golf scramble, Christian County Chamber's Director of Events and Marketing, Kirstie Darnall said. “I think we have 15 teams today and 28 tomorrow. We have military teams, industry teams, and local business teams, and they compete for trophies in each of those three categories.”

The winning teams not only get braggin' rights, they get to display that trophy for the next twelve months.

“I think we have more than 180 players this year,” Darnall said. “It's always a good time. We always enjoy getting out this time of year, and the weather has been nice for us, thankfully. So, we're excited about that too.

“This year, we are giving out cash prizes on holes 1, 2, 5 and 12. There are also par-3 and hole-in-one prizes on 2, 5, 7, 11 and 17. There is a chance for a lucky golfer to win $10,000 on three different holes this year. Also, a chance to win a year's membership to HGCC, a $500 gift card, and a flat-screen TV."
