Clarksville’s Grammy award-winning Gateway Chamber Orchestra performed at the first annual BBQ, Brews & Beethoven. Now that’s an alliteration we can all say five times with a smile on our faces! Presented by F&M Bank and hosted at the Clarksville Regional Airport, attendees socialized to sophisticated sounds while sipping local craft beers from Blackhorse Brewery. Mission BBQ was also there with southern pulled pork and all the fixins’.
Music Director, Gregory Wolynec welcomed and invited everyone to enjoy a sampling of music that included short works from Bach to Beethoven. The feature presentation, George Gershwin’s “An American in Paris”, evoked the spiritedness of la Ville Lumière against a backdrop of homespun company.
GCO board member, Roberta Richardson, said, “We wanted to include a broader audience with a relaxed, casual setting” and that they were “thrilled with the lovely mix of GCO supporters alongside new faces joining us for the first time”.
