In support of its philanthropic efforts, Fort Campbell Spouses club recently hosted its annual golf tournament at Cole Park Golf Course, chaird by Hannah Husemann and Kassie Peterson.
“Thiswas our 2nd annual FCSC Charitable Golf Classic,” Peterson said. “Last year we raised $9,000. We had 23 teams playing in a 4-person scramble format.”
This year's presenting sponsor was AAFMAA Wealth Managemnt & Trust LLC. Many other sponsors and donors and more than 90 players contributed to this year's success.
“Our hole-in-one grand prize was $25,000,” Husemann said. “Other prizes included a cruise, airline tickets and electronics. Players competed in the closest-to-the-pin competition for items like Luke Combs autographed merchandise and a Zahn Brewery package. This year's long-drive competition winner received a year's supply of Smithfield bacon.
“About half the money we raised will go toward schlolarships for high school or continuing education students. The other half of the proceeds will be presented to local charitable organizations in the community that are supportive of our Fort Campbell community. It's our way of saying, thanks for all you do.”
