7th Annual Community C.A.R.E.S. Walk & Expo

The 7th Annual Community C.A.R.E.S. Walk & Expo recently took place at Liberty Park.

C.A.R.E.S. is an acronym for Community Advocating Resources for Every Special Citizen, and each year it connects special needs families with qualified service providers in the area.

“This year we have more than 60 vendors,” Trish Hannah said. “I'm not sure how many walkers participated, but a good day was had by all. It's always a fun morning, from the start to registration, to the stretches, and then the countdown, which is followed by a 1-mile walk for health and wellness. After the walk, everyone comes back to enjoy some free food and a fantastic silent acution. It's a great example of people coming together
