Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary selected the Aaron McNeil House Backpack Program to benefit from this year’s event. The backpack program sends food-insecure children at local elementary schools home with a bag full of food each week.
“We are helping fund the program, and we hoped to raise enough money that they will expand the program into another school,” said Karlee Daniel.
More than 100 people came out for an evening of appetizers, dancing, and live music from Princeton, Kentucky's Cat Daddy Band. There was also a live auction with more than 100 great items donated by individuals, businesses and organizations from throughout the city.
