The August edition of Downtown @ Sundown was a huge success. Pleasant weather, a great line-up of bands and maybe the biggest crowd Clarksville's recently-opened venue has ever seen, helped to create an absolutely electric atmosphere.
Lynne Halliburton and her band Music for Mercy opened the show with a talented horn section, great vocals, and a tight rhythm section had the sounds of soul and jazz echoing off the downtown buildings.
Next up was hometown-favorite The Beagles. Lead vocalists Cindy McElroy and Ivan Colon played favorites that span the decades from the 1960s to today's top hits. They were joined by guitarist Lee Miller for a show that had everyone dancing in the Downtown Commons..
The night's headliner was Broadcast 90s, billed as the ultimate 90s rock tribute band, which closed the show with a set of popular 90s guitar-driven hits.
