Dr. Cornell earned her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University in Radiologic Technology and completed a certificate program in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a graduate of Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee; and over the course of her practice, she has gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of dentistry and has stayed abreast of the latest procedures and technologies available. While her specialized areas of practice include soft tissue laser procedures; ceramic procedures such as inlays, onlays, full-coverage crowns and veneers; minor tooth movement orthodontics; and dental implants, she focuses a great deal of her time and passion in the area of Dental Sleep Medicine. In extension of that expertise, Dr. Cornell opened Dental Sleep Solutions of Clarksville as an expansion of her practice at Back 2 Basics Dentistry, where she utilizes the use of oral appliance therapy to treat cases of sleep disordered breathing including snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) as well as night-time grinding and teeth clenching. She is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is currently pursuing her Diplomat Status through the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, having completed over 150 CE hours in this innovative new field of dentistry.
