Fort Campbell Spouses Club Scholarship Ceremony

The Fort Campbell Spouses Club met at Cole Park Commons May 17 to hold its annual Scholarship and Welfare Ceremony.

“ … And They’re Off “ was a Kentucky Derby themed luncheon where members of the club wore elegant outfits and Derby-inspired hats, but the day was about honoring the chosen recipients. “We are presenting more than $55,000 in grants this year,” FCSC President, Allison Beeman said. “We hold two major fund-raising events each year, including Vice Night in the Spring, and then present the awards at the fiscal year’s final luncheon.”

This year, committees consisting of 10 – 12 club members were formed to review the applications. More than 30 were for high school and continuing education grants, more than 30 were for the club’s welfare grants. Names of committee members are not revealed, and applicant’s names are redacted.
