The Golden Knights

Local business and community leaders, entertainers, and politicians had a a once- in a-lifetime opportunity during the last week of April. They could skydive with the US Army’s Golden Knights parachute team at Clarksville’s Outlaw Field. APSU President, Dr. Alisa White, Clarksville Chamber’s Charlie Koon, APSU Fotball Coach Will Healy and others did tandem jumps with the famous parachute team as part of a program sponsored by the US Army’s National Recruiting Battalion (NRB). Lt. Col. Kevin Polosky is Commander of the NRB. “We asked the Golden Knights to come out,” Polosky said. “We paired them up with our local community partners to give them the Army experience. This gives people a better idea of what the Army is about and allows them have some fun. Nobody backed out, and every person who landed said it was the greatest thing he had ever done.”
