9th Annual Empty Bowls

The 9th Annual Empty Bowls event at lunch and dinner on Tuesday, February 28 at several locations around Clarksville.. Empty Bowls Clarksville is an effort to fight hunger locally.The fundraising event helps raise money for Loaves and Fishes and Urban Ministries Food Pantry. These local agencies provide thousands of meals every year to struggling families and individuals in Clarksville-Montgomery County. Over 1,400 hand-painted bowls are donated throughout the year. The APSU Ceramics Department, The Pottery Room and Horsefeathers Pottery and Art Studio store the bowls leading up to the event and host painting parties that donate their bowls back to the fundraiser. Lunch was held at the Trinity Episcopal Church, New Providence United Methodist Church and the Grace Lutheran Church. Dinner was held at Sango Methodist Church, Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
