On Thursday, January 5th, The Downtown Artists Co-op, or “DAC” as they are often called, held their first show of the year titled “Plus One.” It was a packed house for this First Thursday Art Walk, which has become one of the staples of the downtown Clarksville art scene. The newly renovated art gallery, along with the musical talent of Rufus Dawkins, made for a truly unforgettable night. Guests were treated to a wonderful selection of wine and hors d’oeuvres while they made their way throughout the gallery to see the newly unveiled art produced by local artists. The Downtown Clarksville Art Walk is held on the first Thursday of every month and the DAC, located on Franklin Street, is a great place to start off the night as you tour all of the stops along the Art Walk. Each month the DAC has a guest musician and newly unveiled art, which makes for a unique and memorable experience. Visit www.downtownartistsco-op.com for more details on upcoming events and shows.
