Reflections Orthodontics, on Rudolphtown Road, hosted their second annual “Wine Down” Hygienist Seminar. The event is a new take on the commonly, bland, Continuing Education classes that all hygienist must take to keep up with their licensing.
The guests were greeted with new wine glasses to decorate before choosing from a variety of wines to enjoy. Hygienists signed up for door prizes as they walked in before enjoying a variety of food from Gingham Café. Before leaving for the night each guest received a small parting gift.
The speaker for the evening was Mr. Mike Brewer from 3M Unitek Health Care Academy. The topic of the night was “Who Is The Geriatric Patient And Are We Doing Enough”.
Reflections Office Manager, Gloria Henshaw organized the event and said they received 64 rsvp’s.
“As much as it is to help with CE hours, it’s also so we can meet each other,” Henshaw said. “ It’s a dental community. It’s a family in which our common goals are the same, which is good oral health.”
Henshaw’s goal is to grow it bigger and better every year. It’s a great opportunity for hygienists to meet each other and enjoy a mixer style continuing education course.
