They came from all over in all shapes and sizes to compete in the Clarksville Kennel Club Dog Show. According to CKC President Jill Hootman, this is the first time in eight years that the show has returned to Clarksville. A once prominent event was held, at then named, Fairgrounds Park, at the Wilma Rudolph pavilion. In 2008, straight line winds ripped the pavilion down and the group was forced to partner with Jackson, Tenn. and then Franklin. Through word of mouth, more advertising, and the club returning to Clarksville, the hope is to bring their show back to where it was before they were forced to leave town. they moved it to October.
