Happenin' at the Hollemans' had to be relocated this year, as weather threatened a rain-soaked event, but hosts and attendees alike were undeterred, and able to enjoy the festivities in the comfort of the Belle Hollow.

“This is our 5th or 6th year hosting,” Mark Holleman said. “We enjoy doing this. We are happy to support the Roxy, it's such an asset to this community, and a keystone of downtown. It really is an icon that we are lucky to have. Ryan Bowie and his team do an awesome job, and we're just proud to be a part of it. I often tell people, the performances here are as good as what you would see at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville.”

Chris Crow provided the live music for the evening, and several local restaurants donated food for the event. Items ranged from meatloaf sliders to seared Ahi tuna appetizers. Tables were decorated with set decorations and costume pieces from the different plays being announced.

“Tonight, we are announcing Season 37,” Ryan Bowie said. “All the upcoming productions that will run between September 2019 to August 2020. We are staging 20 different musicals and plays this season. Tonight is the official announcement, and kickoff for sponsorship levels, and opportunities for giving. There are many ways the community can help us bring these shows to life over this coming year.

“We have an excellent line-up, and we're really excited. This year, we have lots of good things for children and for families. We also have some cutting-edge stuff, and some classics. It's a great mix.”
